SHANNON S.

Shannon S. Our Union:
Does a great job; but us Junior Operators need to get more involved with the Union.

Good and bad about the job:
One good benefit is that you can change your work to suit your lifestyle.

The traffic:
Well, the traffic can make you want to shoot yourself.

Likes and dislikes:
I'ts good dealing with the public except for when people are rude for no apparent reason.

The best thing:
When someone takes the time to say "Thanks! Your doing a good job"; it makes it all worth while.

The worst thing:
When someone points out that I'm late!

My job in the scheme of things:
It's a pretty good job, it really has its moments.

A message to Translink riders:
Riders always complaining about crabby drivers. How about riders saying "Good morning" back to the drivers? Thank you…

What my job involves:
Lots of split decisions.

Dealing with the public:
Can be tough, but I try to treat my riders the way I want to be treated.

Memorable stories:
When a person asked for a free ride, they noticed that I was female then asked me out on a date. I told him if he had to ask for a free ride, I was wondering where he was going to take me to, the "Soup Kitchen?!?!"

Hobbies:
Dragon boat racing, horse back riding, and camping.
